Our commitment

We are fully committed to child safety and strictly prohibit any content or conduct related to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Such content has absolutely no place in our app.

Nature of the app

Ayat Shorts is an on-device utility that generates vertical (9:16) Quran videos from read-only, public Islamic text and audio provided by public APIs (quran.com, alquran.cloud, everyayah) with background footage from the Pexels library. Accordingly, the app:

• Has no user accounts and no login.
• Hosts no user-generated content and uploads no content to any developer-controlled server.
• Has no social feed, no chat, no comments, and no messaging between users.
• Displays read-only content sourced from trusted public Quranic text.
• Keeps the final output on the user's own device; the user may only share it via the OS share sheet or save it to the gallery.

Because of this architecture, there is no channel through which CSAE content could be created, stored, or exchanged within the app.

Published standards against CSAE

1. We prohibit any use of the app connected to child exploitation or abuse in any form.
2. We do not permit any CSAM and will not tolerate any attempt to introduce it.
3. The app is designed without user uploads or user-to-user communication, preventing the creation of such content.

In-app feedback and reporting mechanism

The app provides an in-app mechanism to contact us via its "email the developer" feature, which opens an email message to us. Any user may use it to report child-safety concerns or any inappropriate content. You may also contact us directly at the email below.

Handling CSAM and legal compliance

• Upon obtaining actual knowledge of any CSAM, we take appropriate action immediately, including its removal.
• We comply with applicable child safety laws.
• We report any confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), or to the relevant regional authority as applicable to our jurisdiction.
